Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is playing the best football of his career as the team carries a three-game winning streak into Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid.
While his attention is on the game, Burrow is still finding some time to enjoy the team’s trip to Spain. He can finally escape, even though he did get recognized by a group of Americans studying abroad.
“I usually expect to go pretty incognito and not have anybody recognize me,” he said, per Cincinnati radio host Mike Petraglia on X. “It’s a little bit more than that, but I love being out here because I can feel like a normal person for a little bit.”
Burrow isn’t the only one enjoying Madrid, though.
Joe Burrow’s model girlfriend in Madrid
Model Olivia Ponton, who has posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, among other things, posted a series of photos from Madrid.
“Somewhere past my bedtime. Thank you @theprincipalmadrid for the warm welcome,” she said in the caption of the photos on Instagram showing Ponton enjoying a balcony photoshoot and a few shots of her food and hotel room from throughout the night.

Burrow and Ponton have kept their relationship mostly private, so it’s unclear if she’ll be attending Sunday’s game against the Falcons.
