The 9-day festival featured a wide range of activities spanning culture, arts, trade, tourism and international exchanges.
Highlights included the opening ceremony themed “Epic of the Windy Highlands – The Essence of Vietnamese Tea”, a ceremonial tea procession, the 2026 International Tea Economy Forum, tea-tasting workshops, exchange programs between five of Vietnam’s tea-growing areas, and the 2026 World Master Tea Vietnam competition.
This year festival also celebrates the recognition of ‘Knowledge of Thai Nguyen tea cultivation and processing’ as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, acknowledging Thai Nguyen’s cultural values that have been developed, preserved, and passed down through generations. It also underscores the need to safeguard this heritage and develop the tea industry sustainably, improve tea product quality, and enhance its value.
