For those who travel the globe in search of the epitome of style and opulence, Vancouver’s Trump International Hotel & Tower has earned a new accolade that may influence bookings. The “glittering tower in Vancouver” is among the posh spots named one of the 2018 World’s Most Luxurious Hotels.

The inclusion comes courtesy the list compiled by Forbes Travel Guide, who send inspectors out to properties around the world to spend a couple of nights and assign the hotel a star rating, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria.

“Situated in the city’s Golden Mile of high-end boutiques, Trump Vancouver combines glamour and understated design to create a space that exudes quiet opulence. A muted color scheme and extensive meeting facilities bring a business-friendly air to the hotel, but this is softened by local West Coast touches, such as meeting spaces named after Vancouver neighborhoods, light woods in the rooms and locally sourced drinks in the private bar,” elaborates Forbes.

The publication also cites the onsite food and drink options, including Mott 32 and the recently de-commissioned Drai’s nightclub.

Other luxe highlights include the varying views from each room, the local products showcased in the minibar, Arthur Erickson’s architecture, the Champagne Lounge, high tech room controls, the 180 pieces of art created by Mexican-born Vancouverite Miriam Aroeste, and the room furnishings.
