A head-on collision that took place at 4:28 a.m. this Monday morning in the area of Colorado, Curubande, Liberia, Guanacaste took the lives of two Americans, the victims were identified as Enisha Lashelle Roberson, 38 years of age and her six year old son Cannon Anthony Roberson, a third person also died in the tragic accident, Costa Rican Allan Gerardo Pereira Leiva, age 39 (driver).
Anthony Schawn Robertson, husband to Enisha and father to Cannon, suffered severe injuries and had to be hospitalized, while the driver of the car that apparently caused the accident and who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol was placed under arrest.
According to the information released by authorities Pereira was driving the American family to the airport, they were aboard a minivan when a Toyota pick-up truck crashed into them, the driver, a 20-year-old of last name Dávila, tested positive for alcohol and was immediately put under custody of the police. The car he was driving belongs to his father, a ranch owner of the area of Cañas Dulces, Liberia.
The American family flew in to Costa Rica from Texas, USA to enjoy a vacation and they were heading to the Daniel Oduber Airport to board a plane back to their home.
