Americans love to go on a vacation. But they are not sure whether they should go or not.

Two surveys found that many travelers expressed their hesitation and concern about a trip during the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to a survey released by AAA Travel, to which sixty-seven percent of people responded, travelers, are unsure about taking vacation amid the Covid 19 pandemic.

Online ticket booking site, Travelocity found that 57 percent of Americans said that they would not travel this year for the year-end holidays.

The findings from the surveys are in favor of the advice by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. In the advice, it represents a world map that highlights that a Covid 19 virus is a threat in every country, including the USA.

The trend of traveling by car is the most popular this year

The AAA survey points out a trend that has become a theme of travel since the lockdown in March, i.e, more trips by cars, mostly to the open and outdoor destinations, and planned only for days or weeks, not for months.

AAA Says that about 80% of the vacation trips will be by cars and to the places That are known for outdoor recreation and socially distanced fun will be most popular.

AAA also releases a list of the top 10 popular outdoor destinations most appropriate for the driving.

  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Paula Twidale, senior vice president of AAA Travel, said in a statement, trips that allow people to take advantage of the amazing outdoors are certainly popular in this fall season. She said some of the places such as state and national parks, beaches, and gardens are popular in the Covid 19 situation.

Travelocity survey finds 60% of people planned their December holidays

Americans – On the other hand, the Travelocity survey found that 25 percent of the respondents who surveyed in mid-September has planned to take a vacation by the end of the year.

However, the general trend of booking trips is on short notice, Travelocity found that approximately 60% of people planning for the Thanksgiving or December holidays trips Planned to book tickets by the end of September.

Katie Junod, Travelocity’s general manager, said in a statement that it is going to be a non-traditional holiday season. Thus, most families opting for holidays planned away from their homes and utilize their vacations for traveling.
