Bruce Campbell introduces us to extraordinary individuals who won’t give up until they have turned their impossible dreams into reality on this week’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not! preview.
Bruce Campbell has been a great tour guide navigating us through inspirational stories on Ripley’s Believe It or Not! This week we are introduced to several individuals who are driven to turn their impossible dreams into reality.
In the case of Aurelien Rouffiange, a youthful pleasure became his life’s work. At one time or another every child has played with LEGOs. Those plastic blocks encourage imaginations to run wild and worlds to be created. There are no limits to what can be accomplished.
Aurelien took his obsession with the colorful toy and pursued a job with the company after graduating from design school. Little did he know that his fascination with LEGO’s larger constructions would result in an unusual project.
He was tasked with building a full-scale drivable replica of the hot supercar, the Bugatti Chiron. This state-of-the-art machine has a top speed of 261 m.p.h. To make this auto work properly, LEGO had to create special triangular pieces to mimic the aerodynamic surface of the real vehicle.
Next up is Mimi Choi, a makeup effects artist who turns her nightmares into jaw-dropping facial masterpieces with a stroke of a brush! As a child, Mimi suffered from an acute case of sleep paralysis. While the world was slumbering, she was lying in her bed not being able to move but totally cognizant of her surroundings.
It was when she was in her most vulnerable state, terrifying visions would pop into her head. Choi couldn’t distinguish if they were real or illusions. So, as an adult her ability to express these fears also helps her to expel her demons.
Angel Giuffria renders Jaime Sommers, TV’s Bionic Woman obsolete. In the 80’s, she became the first baby to have a myoelectric arm. Today she sports a cutting-edge model.
The young actress proudly displays her appendage with lights and adorns it with intricate sleeves instead of trying to hide it. She can do anything she sets her mind to including archery!
Bruce Campbell showcases companies and people who have brought cool, impractical and seemingly unattainable ideas to life.
