I want to plan a running trip where I would make my way around the country or part of it by running. Can you suggest a country with safe running lanes, not isolated and has good network range?
Running trips are a great way to explore countries and can be booked as local tours or on your own. You can explore running routes and tracks in various regions of the world including Taiwan, Japan, most of Europe (London, Berlin & Budapest are recommended), the USA (Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, New Orleans, New York and Austin) as well as Canada. Most of these destinations have good network coverage and a range of pocket friendly hotels, motels, and hostels for decent breaks between your runs. Apart from these, small group local ‘running sightseeing’ tours are also available in most of these places.
My son has a university seminar to attend in the United States from 7-13 April 2019. He has a B1 visa valid till 10th April 2019. Would he able to stay in the country till the 14th?
He can arrive in the United States right up to the last date of validity as indicated on the visa. The Customs and Border Protection officer on arrival will determine the duration of his stay. The visa can expire while he is still in the United States, though he must ensure that he does not overstay the period of time the officer has granted.
Mauritius is home to spectacular underwater ‘waterfall’. The phenomenon is actually only an optical illusion caused by the runoff of sand and silt.
We are getting married in February 2019 and are planning our honeymoon trip for 8 days. Please suggest destinations with moderate climate, good hustle-bustle and sight-seeing for a budget of around 2-3 lacs.
For an 8-day trip, I would recommend Europe because there’s plenty to see and do, and it is very well connected through a network of trains. You can look at Switzerland, France or even Italy – all of them are very scenic, have a rich history and have several cafes and bars you can explore. Apart from this, you can also look at a beach vacation in Mauritius or Bali with Gili Islands.
I am planning a family trip to Kerala for 6-7 nights. What all places I can cover for sightseeing?
An ideal itinerary would be to start the tour in Cochin followed by Munnar, a hill station well-known for its Tea Gardens;Thekkady, celebrated for its Wildlife Sanctuary; the backwaters with houseboat experiences of Kumarakom and Allepey; Trivandrum famous for its Padmanabhan Temple and a day’s trip to Kovalam for its scenic beaches, which can be experienced while staying in Trivandrum.
