Great Canadian Sugar Rush Festival 2019

What: Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is hosting its first ever Great Canadian Sugar Rush Festival to celebrate the start of the Canadian Maple Season. Included in the festivities will be a tooth-melting amount of maple syrup taffy, outdoor activities, and even a maple-inspired cocktail bar for the adults in attendance.

Attendees will be able to partake in a dog sleigh display, wagons rides, a skating party, an ice-chipping station, a beavertail contest, and enjoy the warmth of a bonfire while listening to live music. Outdoor activities will include snowshoe tours, fat biking, mountain yoga, and stargazing.

The Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show

What: Award-winning Pitmaster, Kris Valckx, will cover four recipes that will focus on how to get even more beer into your BBQing. The class will focus on complimenting flavours, using four beers in four courses. All recipes below will incorporate some Common Crown beer in unique and creative ways.

Night Tubing at Canada Olympic Park

What: For the remainder of this winter season, the Acura Tube Park will be open on select nights from 5 to 7:30 pm, allowing business-hour-workers the chance to go for a few slides — without the hassle of the crowded slopes on the weekend. If not night tubing, the park is also open on most weekend days from 10 am to 1 pm or 2 to 5 pm.
