If you’re a solo globe-trotter but find all the organising a bit too much, help is at hand.

That’s because a blogger is offering her company – her ‘fun, crazy presence’ – to travelling strangers as the ‘world’s first travel assistant’ – with one catch: they have to pay her expenses.

Henna Rinnekangas, 32, from Finland, promises to become a holiday companion for loners in exchange for seeing the world, cost-free.

Specifically, she’s aiming the quirky offer at people that ‘need help with travelling’, from those who lack organisation skills or live with a disability.

The Helsinki-born graduate first started travelling in 2011 and has since visited over 40 countries, many of which are documented in her blog, Whattawowworld, which she began in 2014.

Now, she hopes to see more of it with somebody renting her presence as a private travel buddy.

Henna, a creative entrepreneur, said: ‘There are so many people who are not travelling and don’t know what the world has to offer.

‘It’s a shame because the world widens one’s perspective. There are several reasons which prevent people from travelling: disability, fear of flying, lack of organising skills and laziness, etc.

‘I will do my best to give these people the sparkle to experience the adventure of their lives. At the same time I get to do something I love – travel. My dream has always been to make my living on traveling.’

She also adds that her personality makes the role ideal for her.

‘I have a great sense of humour and I’m extremely easy to get along with,’ she adds.

‘I enjoy meaningful conversations and can offer you more than just a shallow tourist trip. I’m also very fascinated by this world, so I’m sure I can show my clients the best part of it. I´m brave and spontaneous person – so people are sure to have a great time, I’m very fair, too – I respect people as they are.’

However, as yet, she is yet to be hired for her platonic companionship.

‘It will be interesting to see who’s the first brave soul to take up on this opportunity,’ she adds. ‘If people can afford the trip and put their trust on me, I´ll promise to make it an unforgettable adventure.

‘Maybe this is crazy, but it’s good to be bit crazy. I love the stories of different people and it would be lovely to get to hear them on the road. I’m looking forward to booking my first client.’

Naturally, she insists that the client must pay for both their and her travel expenses, while understanding that it is not a ‘dating’ or ‘escort service’.

‘This has nothing to do with that kind of service,’ she stresses.

Henna’s next scheduled trip will see her travel around Asia for ten weeks, prior to attending the South Korea Olympics.

So far, her favourite journeys have been Canada and New Zealand, due to their beautiful nature.

‘I always say I´m a child of the nature so I very much enjoy and respect the sheer beauty our world has to offer,’ she enthuses.

‘For a long time, I´ve been dreaming about travelling to Africa. Who knows, maybe some of my future clients would like to go there. I also love Hawaii and Mexico very much.’
