When it comes to cruise vacations, not all cruise lines are created equal.  Carnival Cruise Line offers a few great perks that are not offered by other cruise lines.

What sets Carnival Cruise Line apart from everyone else?  Here are two great perks that you will only receive when booking a cruise on a Carnival cruise ship.

Great Vacation Guarantee

Carnival Cruise Line offers the greatest guarantee by any vacation company on the planet. They are so confident that you will love your cruise, they are willing to refund your cruise fare (and then some) if you are not happy within the first 24 hours of embarkation.

If you’re not happy with any 3–14 day Carnival vacation you take to The Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, Bermuda, Canada/New England or Alaska, just let them know within 24 hours of your departure. Carnival will refund 110% of your fare and Guest Services will get you back to your home, free of charge with no hassles and no questions asked.

Credit When Prices Drop After Final Payment (Price Protection)

With Carnival’s Early Saver Program, you can get the lower price of your cruise if the price drops after you book.  While most cruise lines only offer this up until final payment, Carnival’s Early Saver Program can get you the better price up until a few days before your cruise.

If the price drops before final payment, your final payment price can be adjusted to show the new lower rate.  If the price drops after final payment, Carnival will issue onboard credit equal to the difference in pricing for you to use on your cruise.

Getting these lower prices is not automatic.  Carnival has the following listed on their website explaining the process that is required:

“In the unlikely event that you do find a lower Carnival-advertised rate after booking your cruise, we will honor it and adjust your cruise rate accordingly. Simply fill out the Price Protection Claim form and we’ll take care of the rest. If you booked your cruise with a travel agent and need to make a Price Protection Claim, simply contact your travel agent and they will submit it for you.”

Carnival’s Price Protection claim form can be found here.

Price Protection applies to Early Saver rates only.  To submit a Price Protection request, you must fill out the form in the link above. Carnival Cruise Line will review your claim within two business days and if it meets the Price Protection requirements, you will have the choice of requesting an upgrade commensurate to the price differential (subject to availability), or Carnival will process a non-refundable onboard credit for the fare difference. If a promotional onboard credit was included as part of your current fare please keep in mind that by adjusting to the lower fare the onboard credit will be forfeited. An email confirming the outcome of your request will be sent to you.
